Liz Megson

Liz Megson

Support Officer

I’m having a ‘gap year’ from my previous employment in Estates and Facilities Management, and was attracted to a temporary post in the voluntary sector as a way to do something useful, while I work out how to spend the last few years of my working life - I’m still here!! In my spare time, I enjoy geometric patchwork based on Moghul and Moorish tiling and participate in support of Nachingwea, a town in Southern Tanzania.

Susie Willis

Susie Willis

Chief Officer, Care Network Cambridgeshire

I joined Care Network in June 2017, having been a carer for my grand-mother who had Vascular Dementia, there were so many times I felt ‘the system’ let us down and I saw the Chief Officer role as one way that I could prevent others going through a similar experience. My strengths lie in developing and utilising operational processes to meet organisational strategic plans and I love to see a job well done.

I graduated from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, with a 1st Class Honors Psychology Degree. Previous areas of third sector employment include Head of Operations for Boxing Futures, a charity delivering sport for good, community rehabilitation programmes for young people aged 16-25 years. Herein, I helped the charity develop from just a concept, to becoming operationally live; delivering in London and Peterborough, culminating in winning international funding from the Movember Foundation for the charity to deliver a project to reduce male social isolation and consequently the likelihood of suicidal feelings or attempts to take one’s own life.
